The historic windmills in Mykonos Town and brightly coloured waterfront houses in Little Venice are some of the most photographed places in the world and it’s no surprise that so many people flock to see them each year.

Language: Greek, but most people in tourist areas speak English ( and more)

Credit Cards and ATMs: You can find ATMs all over Greece. Every major town and city has them, even in mini marts, travel agencies and some hotel lobbies. Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted, and in fact, it is illegal for taxis, hotels and any business working in tourism not to accept them.
Plugs: The plugs in Greece are Type C and F. The standard voltage is 230 V, and the standard frequency is 50Hz. For many people, appliances and devices will work fine, but if you are from the USA, you will need a dual-voltage styling iron or hair dryer.

It is also right next door to Ancient Delos, one of the most important Archaeological sites in Greece and the main reason many people visit Mykonos.

How to get to Mykonos
Mykonos is easy to reach by air or sea. The island has an international airport with direct seasonal flights from many European cities, while year-round flights from Athens take around 40 minutes.
High-speed and conventional ferries also operate from Athens, departing from the ports of Piraeus and Rafina, with journey times ranging from about 2.5 to 5 hours depending on the service.
In summer, Mykonos is also well connected by ferry to other Cycladic islands, including Santorini, Naxos, Paros, Syros and Tinos, as well as some islands in other groups such as Ikaria & Samos, making it a popular stop on an island-hopping itinerary.
