Agios Nikitas Beach
Located close to the charming village of Agios Nikitas, this beach is a family favourite due to its shallow, clear waters and scenic backdrop.
This is a very busy village in summer and one of the best places to stay on the island due to its relatelvaly central location. Where to stay in Agios Nakitas
There are many hotels, pensions and villas in and around Agios Nakitas. It’s a good idea to have a car so you can explore the many beaches.
The main road through the town and the small narrow alleys around it can be very congested in summer, so a place with a car park is highly recommended. From 10 am to midnight it can be almost impossible to find a free park on the street.
Also, the main street of the village, which runs from the main road to the beach – about 500 metres- is pedestrian-only so its another consideration.
Caltabania Suites are right near the seafront and have amazing ocean views from most rooms as well as a swimming pool and a small carpark.
At the other end of the village Katerinas’ Village also has a pool and parking and each villa has two bedrooms and can sleep up to 6 people.
Afroditi Pansion is a great budget option right at the entrance to the pedestrian street and surrounded by shops and cafes including a big mini-mart and the pharmacy.
Tip: Check locations very carefully. Some places are up very steeps lanes and may not be an easy walk town. Also some places say they are a close walk but it can be a long hot hike on a very busy, and not always pedestrian friendly especially in summer.

Milos Beach
Milos Beach is an untouched paradise with pristine turquoise waters. It is accessible by a hike over a hill or a water taxi from Agios Nikitas. To get to Milos Beach you can hike down from the road above. There are several tracks although some are not clearly marked and can be challenging. The best track is up over the hill from Agios Nikitas.
Most people arrive by boat. There are two boats that operate between May and October from the beach at Agios Nikitas. They wait until they are full or close to it but this usually only takes 20 minutes or so and the journey is less than 10 minutes. The cost is 5 euro per person each way.
